Over the years since the very day in 1928 when H. B. Reese created the iconic Reese’s Peanut Butter cup, there have been many variations of the popular chocolate and peanut butter snack. Everything from the still-popular Reese’s Minis to the lesser-known Big Cups have grazed store shelves at one point in time or another over the years. There have even been limited-edition variants such as the Double Chocolate cups and Crunchy Cookie Cups; some which have stayed on the shelves up to this day while others which have since disappeared into the depths of history. The familiar Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup taste has even found itself featured in a popular cereal (Reese’s Puffs) and a candy bar (Reese’s Fast Break).

Now two of the most popular Reese’s variants are going to be fused together into a marvelous creation that will make any candy aficionado’s dream come true! A leaked photo depicting a standard Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup containing pieces of Reese’s Pieces went viral within the avenues of social media. Shortly after, the use of the hashtag #cupfusion for discussions pertaining to the new hybrid became widespread. Hershey, the manufacturer of the popular line of Reese’s products, has been rather receptive of the positive feedback they’ve received from candy lovers around the world regarding this still-unnamed concoction.
It’s still unclear as to what this new candy will be called when it hits store shelves this July, but with all the buzz and speculation going on in social media, it’s sure to be a product that’ll leave a monumental mark in the candy world!
